Cookies and similar technologies (like a browser's local storage) let a site remember small pieces of information on your device. This page explains what Conclave uses. The short answer: nothing that tracks you, and nothing that advertises to you.
What we don't use
We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackingof any kind. We don't build a profile of you, and our fonts are self-hosted so simply loading a page doesn't call out to third parties.
What we do use
Only strictly-necessary and functional storage, all of it either required to deliver the site or kept on your own device:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| conclave-cookie-notice | Local storage (this site) | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it doesn't reappear. | Until you clear it |
| Game data (decks, profile, preferences) | Local storage (on /play) | Saves your decks, guest name and settings in your browser so they're there next time. Never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
| Hosting cookies | Strictly necessary | Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set essential cookies to deliver the site securely and reliably. | Session / short-lived |
If you use an optional Google sign-in inside the game, Google may set its own cookies as part of signing you in — that's governed by Google's cookie policy.
Do we need your consent?
Because we only use strictly-necessary and functional storage — and no tracking or advertising — we don't need to ask for consent to set it. We still show a short notice so you know what's going on. If we ever add anything non-essential (such as analytics), we'll ask for your consent first.
How to control cookies and storage
You're always in control. In your browser settings you can block or delete cookies, and clear a site's storage. You can also clear this site's local storage specifically — note that clearing the game's storage will delete your saved decks and profile.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we use changes, and revise the “last updated” date above.
For the bigger picture on personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
Provided in good faith for an independent hobby project, in plain language — not legal advice. If analytics, ads, or accounts are added later, revisit this policy and your consent approach.
